Sanford's National Night Out is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Ft. Mellon Park, according to the City of Sanford's October 2026 event calendar. A Seminole County family-events listing for that date puts the gathering at 600 E. 1st Street and lists it as free to attend, with the Sanford Police Department taking part.
The city's standing National Night Out event page is still dated Oct. 7, 2025 and marked "Expired," so it describes last year's edition rather than Tuesday's. That page listed free games and activities in a Kids Zone provided by Ladies 327, a K-9 demonstration, music and local vendors, and named the Sanford Police Department as organizer with a contact number of 407-688-5070. Residents who want to confirm what will be on hand this year can call that number before heading out.
Sanford is one of several Seminole County cities holding National Night Out that evening; Winter Springs has one from 5 to 8 p.m. at 300 North Moss Road, and Oviedo's runs 6 to 8 p.m. at Center Lake Park. Later in the week, the city calendar lists the Seminole High School Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Magnolia Square.
